The Porch on Windy Hill blends Appalachian, Old Time and Bluegrass songs with a deeply personal, contemporary story of discovery and reconciliation. The show follows Mira (played by Tora), a biracial Korean American classical violinist, and her folk-song-collector boyfriend Beckett as they escape pandemic isolation in Brooklyn and journey to the mountains of western North Carolina. FEBRUARY 2022: Tora will be appearing as viola in the acting company’s school tour of twelfth night by william shakespeare. This tour will be visiting 17 different schools in the new york city area. virtual viewing options are also available for schools and interested professionals. May 9th-11th: Come see Tora play WENDLA in the heart wrenching and angst-driven SPRING AWAKENING at the Irondale Center, running May 9th-11th.
